Fairdue ("we", "us") provides an application for tracking and splitting shared subscription costs. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use Fairdue, why, and what rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.
We process this data to provide the service you've signed up for: performance of the contract between you and us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it to third parties.
Fairdue is built around shared subscriptions. When you join a subscription (by invite code), your name and email address become visible to that subscription's owner and its other participants, and your share of it (amount and payment status) is visible to them too. This sharing is inherent to the cost-splitting feature and is limited to the specific subscriptions you've joined — not shared more broadly across your account.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Expired sign-in sessions and email verification tokens are removed automatically. If you delete your account (see below), your personal data is removed; ownership of any subscription you created is transferred to another participant so their records stay intact, and your own participation and payment records are deleted.
You have the right to:
You can exercise the access, rectification, export, and deletion rights directly from your account settings page. For anything else, contact us at privacy@mail.fairdue.app.
Your data is stored in a database operated on our behalf by our hosting provider, acting as a data processor under a data processing agreement. We don't use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
